APCO Quarterly Meeting

Helen’s Place

August 17, 2004

Meeting was called to order by President Gina Bowman.

Invocation was given by Pat Hall.

President Gina Bowman led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Helen Smith presented the minutes and financial report in the absence of Cheryl Robinson.  Pat Hall made a motion to accept as presented, this was seconded by Gina Bowman and carried by the Board.

Pat Hall explained the 700 mhz account to the members present.

Pat Hall gave everyone an update on the Executive Council Meeting in Montreal, Canada.  Pat will follow with a written report. 

Some of the things discussed were:

          APCO International has the largest budget it has ever had.

          Project Retains will have a complete report out at the end of the year.

          New CTO Manuel

The training class in July was a success; a lot of positive remarks have been made.  We discussed the option of doing Quarterly Training sessions.

          Membership:

                   Helen Smith advised 3 new members have been added.

          Newsletter/Website:

Gina advised newsletter is being put on the website.  Please send anything that needs to be posted.

          Area Representatives:

Please work your areas and lets see if we can’t get more people involved.

          Conference Report:

Gina advised conference dates for 2005 will be April 10-13 at The Perdido Beach Resort.  Theme will be “Heroes Unmask”.  Things are going well at this time.

          New Business:

                   No new business at this time.
