Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer.  It’s now time to send the children back to school (yeah!) and buckle down so we can get ready for Christmas.  (It’s hard to believe that Christmas decorations will be out in about a month.)

I hope a majority of you reading this letter were able to attend the APCO Institute Training Session, Customer Service and Team Building, in Montgomery on July 13th.  My understanding was we had 30 people attend, and that everyone enjoyed it.

We are only about 8 months away from our Annual Conference, April 10-13, 2005.  Everyone please register as soon as possible and don’t forget to make your hotel reservations at The Perdido Beach Resort. We are still in the planning stages and we want to make it the best conference yet, so if you haven’t volunteered for a conference committee, we would welcome your help.

Don’t forget to check the Training Tab on the web site.  Greg has updated it with the latest information we have on Training for Telecommunicators.  If anyone has any training or information they would like to see on the website you can e-mail it to me at super911@charter.net and I will make sure it gets posted ASAP.

We will again be honoring a Telecommunicator of the Year at the conference, so look for information on the web page about how you can nominate an Outstanding Telecommunicator from your agency.

Our next Quarterly Meeting will be at 10 am, Tuesday, August 17, 2004 @ Helen’s Place in Clanton.  We will have the business meeting, a guest speaker and lunch.

Thanks for all you do each day to keep us safe.

God Bless!
