APCO QUARTERLY MEETING

FEBRUARY 24, 2004
Meeting was called to order by President Jo Tranter.
Invocation was given by Cheryl Robinson.
Jo welcomed everyone and recognized guests.
Sec/Tres Cheryl Robinson presented the minutes of November 18, 2003; this was seconded by Gina Bowman and carried by the Board.
Cheryl also presented the treasurer’s report; this
was seconded by Pat Hall and carried by the Board.
Jo then called for Committee Reports:
Executive Council:
Pat Hall advised the winter conference was held the last week in January in Orlando,
FL. She attended and gave a brief update.
Minimum Standards:
Pat Hall and Jo Tranter both on this committee and advises nothing has changed, still looking for funding.
Historical:
Sharon Carroll was not present.
Training:
Marsha Jones
Dothan will have a Supervisor class sometime in April/May. Please post any training on the web site.
Membership:
Helen Smith advises approximately 300 members and 4 new members.
Frequency:
John Wyckoff was not present.
Newsletter/Website:
Any information you have to put on the website, please send to Gina. Please
check out the web site. The information about the conference is posted.
Area Representatives:
Please work your areas and let’s see if we can’t get more involved.
Mutual Aid State
Task Force:
Joel Whitman was not present.
Conference Report:
Registration for 2nd mail out for Conf
2004 has been sent. Conference will start March
22, 2004 thru March 25, 2004.
Everything is going well and we are hoping for a good turn out.
Old Business:
Keynote Speaker:
Inv. Darren McGavity, Family Services Unit with Hoover PD.
Next Meeting:
March 24, 2004 at the conference.
